Wear Appropriate Athletic Attire

Athletes should wear appropriate fitting shorts/leggings (not flare) each day of tryouts.  Athletes wearing jeans, khakis, sweatpants, or other type of non-athletic bottoms will not be permitted at tryouts.  

Athletes should have on appropriate athletic footwear everyday at tryouts.  Cheer shoes, running shoes, athletic sneakers are all acceptable.  Boots, slides, Uggs, designer sneakers, etc. are not acceptable athletic footwear and will not be permitted.  At no time will an athlete be permitted to participate without footwear.

GHSA Jewelry Policy

No jewelry is to be worn during tryouts.

 

The Georgia High School Association (GHSA) is the governing body for high school athletics in the state.  As a member of the GHSA, Sprayberry High School athletes are required to follow all rules and guidelines set by the GHSA.  

​

The GHSA prohibits cheerleaders from wearing jewelry while participating in practice and games.  This policy is outlined in the GHSA Spirit and Competition Guides available by clicking HERE.
